What is its goal?

Foodie – Clean, Simple and Good puts the priority of making food from all-natural products. This would be a community of people cooking their favorite meals and sharing them with others. The user would look at different meal plans and pick and choose which looks most appetizing. Once the person chooses the type of meal they want to enjoy whether it is soup, desserts, hor d’oeuvres or entrees. They select a category and then the list of ingredients, measurements, prep and cook time for the specific dish.

What went into the Design think?

I thought about Apple music and the concept of Complexion Reduction. Where bolder headlines, clearer functionality and the reduction of any redundant or unnecessary images or colors. The persona of a typical user would be mid-to-late 30’s on the go and not a lot of time to spare.

A possible add-on function to the app could be ordering and delivery of the ingredient in a neat prepackaged container. There could also be instructions or numbered steps for preparation.

What about the Wire framing?

I drew a quick sketch and gathered all the content and information and how I would showcase it with any minimal information architecture.

What gestures/interactions do you see with this app?

I think that the user would double click on the images to bookmark. Swipe up or down to keep or discard the different menu items. If they like the particular dish, then they can “heart” it and also see what others have said about the meal.
